Heart­felt and emo­tion­al, ‘In Pain’ is the fresh new single to come from Phil. With lyr­ics that come straight from the heart, Phil wrote this track as a way to sum­mar­ise and pro­cess his recent feel­ings and emo­tions. Phil describes the writ­ing as “the easy part”, as the words flowed from him with ease. He recor­ded at his friend’s stu­dio, with his friend step­ping in as pro­du­cer and show­ing the new artist the ropes.
 
Phil came to mak­ing music as a way to express him­self to help him in his daily life. He quickly dis­covered the thera­peut­ic power of song­writ­ing and has­n’t looked back since. ‘In Pain’ will be his second offi­cial single. Not labelling him­self with any genre, in his own words, Phil describes his sound as “real and authen­t­ic in an easy going style”, which is a per­fect sum­mary of Phil as an artist. Authen­ti­city is key for Phil as he sets out on his music career.
