The NYC-born singer, performer, dancer and model Infinite Coles brings his unique, unapologetic swagger with ‘Boots Ballroom C*nt Mix’ featuring Maleigh Zan & Julz, released today in celebration of Pride month on Don’t Sleep/PIAS.
Much like Infinite Coles himself, this banger is ready to kick down doors and is a love letter to both the vogue-ballroom scene and 90s dance music. Produced by Zach Witness (Doechii/Erykah Badu/Frank Ocean), the track is a mix of last year’s underground tune ‘Boots’, this time featuring artist and rising star Maleigh Zan and celebrated ballroom choreographer and dancer Julz.
The track pops with confidence and bravado, as Infinite sings his fearless lyrics “Infinite style, I’ll make ‘em bow, what’s goodie?”. The hook ‘Where’s my boots so I can eat a bitch?’ will make you want to pop, serve and walk. ‘Boots’ features a stunning breakdown ballad of vocal runs to show off Infinite’s immense vocal talent and power, before firing up again, a banger that cannot be ignored.
The video for ‘Boots Ballroom C*nt Mix’ was created in collaboration with Infinite’s best friend and key collaborator the model and auteur Ugly Worldwide, who is Creative Director, edited by Jessica Dunn Rovinelli (Beyonce ‘Lemonade’) and overall art direction by Jean Carlos Pina AKA Robot MoonJuice, with unmissable guest appearances by Maleigh Zan and Julz. Shot on location, the video is shot at a disused warehouse in New York state, the video ripples with the vibrant and fearless energy of the track, with slick aerial shots of the epic surroundings and Infinite on deadly form, his boots zipped up and ready to walk.
Infinite Coles said “This song is the real me. I have found my sound. Boots is a song about having a good time while looking fab and feeling invincible. My boots are my armour. The C*nt mix is all about the dollsssss !!!!! It’s everything c*nt everything fearless. It’s a whole new world. I love to vogue and the ballroom scene is what made me free. This track shares me at my highest level of confidence. I grew up always worrying about what people thought about me and how they would judge me. Now I’m just in a space where I don’t give a f**k. I’ve been through so much the past few years, I’ve grown and learned a lot about myself and it’s made me stronger, more focused and fearless. It’s authentic, and it’s everything I am. I love that Maleigh Zan and Julz have collaborated with me on ‘Boots’ to create this ‘Ballroom C*nt Mix’, it is so fresh and so real. There is more music to come from me, this is just the beginning.”
