frshrz

FRSHRZ is a movement. A title with no vowels and a reflection of London life

SKANDOUZ, Dray Styles and Artcha make up the collective of rappers, producers, hosts and entrepreneurs who are set to shape the way London is represented to the rest of the world. FRSHRZ have been seen in and around London performing and hosting a number of shows including the summer events of Breaking Conventions Park Jam, Hootenanny and the upcoming Hip Hop Kemp festival in Prague; as well as hanging with the legendary London Posse at their Cargo reunion gig, Big Daddy Kane and Masta Ace for exclusive interviews on SKANDOUZ weekly Connoisseurs of Hip-Hop show on ReelRebels Radio. Vital to these endeavours were the on-going recording and tweaking of the new FRSHRZ EP.

This is the eagerly awaited follow up to FRSHRZ Summer Invasion 2 (FSI2) from 2016. In comparison, the FRSHRZ EP is composed of original and remixed music from home-grown producers Nutty P, DJ Supreme, Juke Boxx, Mas Law, Earth2Tom and Kensaye. FRSHRZ prove they are just as creative and incisive over original production as they are with carefully selected covers and remixes. The FRSHRZ EP showsthe growth and experience of the movement, whilst introducing new talent such as Keesha Simpson and Daak Martin. The group tackle new topics on the FRSHRZ EP such as the growing concern of knife crime and identity in our local communities on songs like ‘Letter to the Youths’ to the explorations of love on ‘What’s Love?’ Sonically the group also enlist the vocal efforts of legendary UKHH Emcee Si Phili and the Peoples Army’s Logic on the monster sequel to last years Sickle Cell Charity single Black Pride — Black Pride ll produced by Nutty P. Expect insane flows, witty lyrical content and bass-ridden-production throughout this 6‑track musical journey.

The FRSHRZ EP is a matured body of work; intelligently executed by three diverse lyricists and a host of cutting edge producers from London. This EP is the evolution of Hip-Hop soul with a conscious twist. Their status as the modern rap group continues to grow.

Also on the horizon this year are solo projects from Artcha (Urban Tales Vol. 1), Skandouz (Fearless Vol. 2) and Dray Styles (The Writers Block).

The FRSHRZ EP Will be available to download on 27th July 2017 here.
