Fresh off the back of 600,000 online streams, Nova Scotia, Canada native Mitchell Bailey goes transatlantic on new single ‘Hold That Down’, bringing UK rapper Skatta on board, showing the the nuclear fusion as the two join forces.
All menacing atmospherics and minimal production turned out by Nookie Beats, the beat snapped the rest of the track into existence, immediately capturing Bailey’s imagination and lighting the fuse on a powerful Canada/UK alliance.
“After hearing the beat, I instantly wrote my parts for the track, and the hook just came naturally,” said Bailey, who has amassed over half a million combined streams and whose trademark breathless flow goes toe to toe with Skatta’s no-frills delivery.
