Houston multi-talented rapper/producer TAME, The Aspiring Me releases an inspiring retrospective new single ‘Geppetto’s Story’.

Dripping with delectable beats and coupled with energetic lyrical flows, ‘Geppetto’s Story’ tells the story of TAME’s journey after releasing his ‘YMLKT’ project to now. The song is an ode to his growth not only as a musician but as an artist.

Creating a comparison to Pinocchio’s creator, ‘Geppetto’s Story’ depicts TAME focusing on carving out his own path so that he may bring his dreams to life.

On the single, TAME said, “I want people to know that I am serious and to not sleep on my art,”

“As the song says, thought I was catching up. I just passed ya by. Hundred percent  you know. Claim that you don’t you lie,”

The single artwork is inspired by DC comic, Fables, in which the main villain is Geppetto.

Having pushed the boundaries of his previous work, TAME rose to prominence in 2013 when Complex Magazine listed his debut album ‘The Aspiring Me’ top ten music projects to come out of Houston in 2013. In addition to rapping, 2017 saw TAME make his debut as a conceptual performance artist: exhibiting at the Houston Museum Of African American culture and later in March 2018 at the interactive, film and music festival SXSW; as well as Houston arts organisation Diverse Works. He was even featured in Solange’s music video which he states had a big impact on his artistry direction.

Creativity runs through his veins as he orchestrates and continues to use his music as a positive tool to uplift and inspire others. TAME’s latest offering ‘Geppetto’s Story’ will feature on his upcoming album slated for release in July with a slew of singles to be released in the coming months.
