INTERVIEW | INTRODUCING MICHAEL FANG

Introduce yourself for those who have not heard of you?
Hey my name is Michael Fang and I like to party! I have been making music for like seven years now and I’m currently in my hometown of Dallas, Texas living fast with the homies.

How did you first get into rapping?
My friend Chigo Ace started rapping when we were younger and eventually got me into it. I wasn’t that deep into it but after we went to jail over basically nothing, we started making a song about it while in lockup. Once we got out, we never stopped making music.

What has been your biggest success in your music career so far?
I have to say my biggest success musically is Fleeek. I gained a lot of supporters and fans from it. And I personally have to mention that I recently learned how to produce my own beats which has been monumental. Now I am pretty much live in the studio and peak my head out when festivities come.

How do you use Hip-Hop to inspire?
Sometimes I like to talk about the stuff people ignore. Stuff like drug abuse, violence. But I’m no saint either and so majority of my music inspires enjoyment. I know there is a lot if negativity in the world and so I would encourage everyone to live a little, relax, and wild out.

Tell us about your track Fleeek?
Fleeek is a feel good track. The point is to be completely self-centered. Initially, it was released in a short EP called Summer Sizzle in 2018. The point of the whole project was just embodiment of ‘summer’, ‘partying’, and going out with the squad. Fleeek a song that is meant to be flashy, cocky, and overall flex. “Feel yourself music” as my management calls it; a definite song to play at the pregame as you put on your best clothes while getting ready for a wild night.

What have you got in store for 2020?
It’s the beginning of a new decade, so I have to go all out! I have several projects; some completed some still in progress, sitting in the vault. Not to talk about the visuals that I have started working on… let’s just say 2020 will be a year of content. New music and new videos!

Who would your dream collab be?
Lil Wayne, easily. At that point I could die in peace.
