NEW MUSIC | JACKSON TURNER (@jacksonturnermc) X BUGLE (@BugleAn9ted) ’ SOUND THE ALARM’

jt

Sound The Alarm is the second single off Jackson Turner’s Bare Knuckle Soul album. The song was produced by 3X platinum grammy award winning producer Luney Tunez and features the acclaimed reggae artist Bugle. Luney Tunez has worked with an array of hiphop heavy-weights ranging from The Game to Rihanna and Future; while Bugle is one of reggae music’s most respected artists, having worked with Shaggy, Beenie Man and Sizzla. Sound The Alarm is a hiphop-reggae hybrid that hits with pure ferocity. The lyrics paint a symbolic picture of the difficulties people face in overcoming hardship. Themes include weathering the storm, prophets leading their people to the promise land and struggling amidst poverty. The music video was directed by Jay Will—who has shot videos for Shaggy and Sting, Major Lazor and Busy Signal. Sound The Alarm is an intoxicating blend of hiphop and reggae that bumps hard in any kind of speaker.
