TALIB KWELI

Electric Brixton — 7th November 2018

Talib Kweli is back in London this November to play one of the biggest Hip-Hop shows of the year!

Forming the incredibly well respected Blackstar in the late 90’s with the almighty Mos Def they released their seminal, album, “Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star” in 1998. The huge success of this album confirmed Kweli’s place amongst the greats of hip hop.

Alongside his work with Mos Def, his solo career has been incredibly successful. Releasing his critically acclaimed debut solo album “Quality” in 2002 on Rawkus Records Kweli was catapulted to musical fame. The album featured a young and unknown rapper who now goes by the name, Kanye West. Talib is an highly talented lyricist who has been consistently releasing thought-provoking and inspirational albums, as well as collaborations over the last 2 decades.

Despite touring the world, managing own label “Blacksmith Records” and being a strong social activist, Kweli is still writing and creating music that his fans can connect and relate to!

After wowing a sold out crowd with his incredible performance alongside Mos Def at the Black Star show at the Troxy last November, you can be sure he will be keeping you gripped all night long with his hard hitting politically charged lyrical flow this time out at Electric Brixton.

Come and join us for a special rare performance from one of the greats at Electric Brixton this November, it’s going to be a night to remember!

Tickets go on sale Friday 23rd March 2018 11am
