NEW MUSIC | RAVY AND DAMÉLOLA TEAM UP TO RELEASE SUMMER GARAGE BANGER WITH ‘HOW IT FEELS’ (@Ravylution)

RAVYD

Rapper and singer Ravy announces the release of her new single How It Feels featuring singer-songwriter DAMÉLOLA. Produced by Dutch Top 50 producer Shafique Roman, How It Feels is an energetic garage-house song guaranteed to make an impact this summer. How It Feels is out on June 7th on all digital streaming platforms.

Ravy is a Dutch rapper, singer, songwriter and dancer who combines rap, with Pop, EDM and R&B, blending it with traditional Indian and Surinamese music.

A trained dancer with an incredible work ethic, Ravy has featured on tracks and worked with several notable artists and producers. She recorded with hit songwriter Rock City, who wrote Ciara’s “Level Up” and has worked with notable producer Needlz, who produced Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” and Cardi B ft. Kehlani’s “Ring”.

South London native DAMÉLOLA is a singer, rapper and songwriter who has been writing songs from a young age. Citing Aretha Franklin and Lauryn Hill as her influences, DAMÉLOLA has honed her own unique sound which combines traditional R&B sensibilities with Pop-Soul, Funk and Garage stylings. She has also recorded with top songwriter and producer Jonny Lattimer, who co-wrote Ellie Goulding’s ‘Starry Eyed’ and Kwabs’ ‘Walk’.

How It Feels is a superb summer song that carries a wonderfully nostalgic garage and house sound and updates it with a fun and contemporary melody made for the dancefloor. With smooth vocals courtesy of DAMÉLOLA and a playful verse from Ravy, How It Feels features a bass-heavy house infused production from international producer Shafique Roman. A pleasant throwback to old-school garage, How It Feels is something the current music scene needs.

Ravy and DAMÉLOLA will be debuting the song main stage at The Mighty Hoopla festival on Saturday 8th June, where they will be opening for acclaimed soul legend Chaka Khan, as well as other notable acts.
